Currency

Introducing some changes to how money is managed, because gambling and personal purchases are coming into the picture and it can be a little OOCly unfun to go "WOW I WANT THAT THING but oh wait I share a treasury with everyone else, and manage a kingdom that relies on these funds, so I need to address this all first, hmm..."

Now everyone has their own personal wallet alongside the kingdom's treasury! Of course, when making kingdom purchases the court will still need to work together to make the right decisions and utilize the treasury... but now you each can be a little frivolous on your own terms with the money you carry around on you!

To define the two currencies that now coexist:

Halation's Treasury - Megagold

• Your kingdom can only utilize megagold, so Halation's treasury only pertains to megagold.

• Megagold (MG) takes the form of hefty gold bars. They're invaluable to a kingdom and are typically used on large purchases such as land, facilities, bulk supplies, and so forth.

• In summary, this form of currency is typically used for diplomatic and political situations though exceptions may apply.

Your Pocket Funds - Gold

• You can only carry gold on your person, because carrying megagold is very inconvenient—it's inapplicable to everyday situations, and huge!

• Gold (G) takes the form of gold coins, and is a universal form of currency here in the world of labyrinths. Businesses expect gold as payment for goods and services. If you tried to use megagold instead... well, it'd be like using a rare $1,000 bill to buy some cheap candy at a mom & pop shop.

• Labeled as "pocket" on your sheet; I figured this would get the point across that it's something you're carrying around, like pocket change, even if you're not using a pocket at all.

• Despite this currency suddenly being introduced into the campaign, please assume your character already knew what this was... unless they really just wouldn't.

Other Notes!

1MG = 1,000G! That's considered a good bit for someone to carry around, but for a kingdom that's not much at a~ll. It'll often be easy to tell when it's G or MG involved in a situation, but I'll make sure it's clear for you each time around.

There will be places where any of you can make deposits and withdrawals to Halation's treasury:

• when you're in Halation
• in a bank, even outside of Halation's territory
• supposedly by wiring with magic or devices...?!

Currency conversion automatically takes place, but it will need considered:

• When depositing into the treasury you can only deposit by exact thousands. When you try to deposit 13,050G into the kingdom treasury, you will still have 50G leftover in your pocket since that won't convert into MG. That said, the treasury would increase by 13MG.

• When withdrawing from the treasury you cannot break a MG. For example, you would not be able to withdraw 1.6MG from the kingdom's treasury to get exactly 1,600G—you'd have to withdraw 2MG = 2,000G.

Why deposit?

Each character's personal reasoning aside, sometimes you will encounter situations where you need to have money in the treasury, even on your journey...

Why withdraw?

Because gacha exists. Obviously.

A NOTE: you might remember that at the end of every labyrinth you receive bonus $$$ for every room you explored and engaged with—it's just a game mechanic to keep your kingdom afloat and to encourage exploration. Anyway, these funds will continue to go directly to the kingdom's treasury, just like before.

TL;DR: you each now have your own personal money that you can earn and use for yourself instead of constantly referring to the kingdom's treasury. The currency and its uses differ, but the money is interchangeable both ways.

I WILL DEFINITELY GUIDE AND ASSIST YOU ALONG THE WAY! Please don't shy away from asking questions or for further explanations!
