Your return to the kingdom...
A LINK -> A map of the Known [to your kingdom] World so far.
Halation now has 74 Citizens. It's growing quite cramped—you will definitely want to expand soon. There is now 9MG in your treasury.
• Lifestyle is 2. Your people aren't TOTALLY as poor as dirt, actually. This is why merchants bother to visit you. Sometimes.
• Culture is 1. Your people struggle to find enrichment of their meager lives through the idol lifestyle and their worship of the Deep Ones.
• Order is 1. There is a risk for disorder due to the continued distribution of the mysterious EVIL reagents.
• Military is 1. Your kingdom is hardly fit to defend itself from outside threats.
OPPORTUNITY TO CONSIDER: Due to the desires of your kingdom, you may purchase the Southern Forest Labyrinth for a mere 5MG. (Worth considering, given that this labyrinth would normally cost you 9MG any other time.) Upon purchasing this land, you'll be able to build new Facilities on it. [a link to available facilities to come soon.] This decision must be made by the upcoming session.
TREASURES TO SHARE: Along the way you've acquired 1 Very Vine Dagger, 1 Mushroom Bisque, 1 Mushroom Parasol. Ownership must be decided among the six of you by the upcoming session.
EVENT: Currently, Halation is celebrating your return with a festival. There's gossip here and there, but overall most people are content with your decision to handle the farmland bandits the way that you did. That said, there are banners, balloons, and streamers tossed about. A small group from the temple is trying to put on a live performance in a few days from now. From the sounds of it, this festival will be going on until the envoy sent by the Millennium Dynasty arrives next week.
[IC Time Until Next Labyrinth: A WEEK
OOC Date of Next Labyrinth: JULY 15th, 9PM EST]

AFTERWARDS
then it's back to the round table with the lot of you! by the way, the table is round. i've decided it so. the remainder of the plastic fruit that Juno hasn't eaten still sits on the table, serving as your bleak decoration for as long as it lasts. to the side of the room is a chest with a lock—obviously, the holding place for the gold, and the three particular treasures you secured on your journey.
taking a seat, Solitaire smiles and clasps his hands together, his warm eyes crinkling.]
Aaah, my court, I'm so relieved to have you back. And in one piece, and with several other pieces in addition!
Now—
[the aura surrounding Solitaire suddenly shifts. intensity replaces amiability in seconds. his smile, and his clasped hands, tighten as he directs his attention to Sulfur, who sits a ways to his right.]
Won't you please introduce this young woman—oh, I joke, we don't need two hours of that. I can tell who this is. Instead... dare I ask why you brought our enemy back, when she is the one responsible for ruining our crops and nearly stealing Halation's treasured artifact?
[that's right—an artifact. in all truthfulness, no matter who you are, it doesn't sound familiar to you at all. the only item of significance to the Lord of Disaster (the man who ruled this kingdom at its birth) was a blade that was buried with him. Solitaire DID mention an artifact nearly being stolen, but... he never said anything else about it, and never have you heard of anything like this before.
meanwhile, Sulfur grins smugly. that's a change in her demeanor as well—just a minute ago she was as cool and collected as a basket of cucumbers. she taps her fingers along her arm, leaning back in her chair and looking over the old man with wicked bemusement.]
Oh, my. You, sir, have much to explain to your court if that thing is treasured. Nobody here should even have that anymore.
[Solitaire's expression falls, and becomes one that's... hard to read. he looks confused? unsure? maybe even uneasy?
he doesn't respond.]

[ Juno is here, asking the important questions, and seems to look to Dusk for confirmation/backing them up on this. ]

Solitaire ignores her reaction, and pleads. ]
...it must be exactly that. What exactly is in that witch's head? She acts as though we possess a... a weapon of destruction, but that's not it at all. As if someone who knows nothing of this kingdom can speak over someone who has served it for decades!

[ HELPING!! ]
And she's not a witch?

[ ...she adds helpfully, looking very pointedly at Solitaire. It wasn't so much an attempt to correct Juno as much as it was to pick at the old man.
Solitaire sighs.]
Fine, fine. Sulfur. The witch part is still in question. Juno, do you not see anything strange about this situation?

[ I mean. It is a temple to Old Gods. ]
